bloc was selected as a joint venture partner by Hanover Housing Association following a European Journal Tender Process. Hanover Housing are the largest provider of retirement and extra care accommodation in England and Wales.
During its fours years of trading, hanoverbloc progressed two large strategic sites owned by Hanover Housing and undertook a number of consultancy projects for a variety of new older housing concepts. In particular hanoverbloc initiated the UK’s first co-housing project for older residents in North London for the Older Women’s Co-housing (OWCH) group. The project is now completed and occupied having been designed by Pollard Thomas Edwards.

Katalyst became a 7 year partnership with Scottish Enterprise. The goal of Katalyst was to make money from developments and reinvest it in local employment generation and economic regeneration in Dumfries and Galloway. The JV has gone full course and bloc has acquired the SE shareholding in Katalyst.
Katalyst was successful in generating profits from the sale of residential sites and unlocking and achieving planning on industrial projects including the Annan Business Park.
Sprit Pub Company
bloc worked with the Spirit Pub Company to review their “Golden Brick” London portfolio to provide development advice regarding alternative use and upper part redevelopment opportunities. The proposal was to work through suitable development projects in partnership.
Due to a corporate takeover the development partnership was not contracted, but bloc acquired a portfolio of pubs for value addition, change of use, residential upper part development and redevelopment.
